The leaks about the devices expected to be unveiled ahead of Apple’s September 7 event keep coming. The features of the AirPods Pro 2 model, which has been on the agenda for some time, have leaked.
Bluetooth 5.2 technology was introduced with a new LE Audio feature in recent years. The names of two Apple employees appear on the contributor list for the LE Audio feature. Analysts predict that the company will use the LE Audio feature in its new models.
AirPods Pro 2 features revealed
According to a recently published file in the Bluetooth SIG database, Apple recently had an unknown component whose Bluetooth 5.3 support was tested. Although there is no detailed information in the database, it is assumed that Apple is preparing for future devices with Bluetooth versions that support LE Audio.
LE Audio comes with a new low-power audio codec called LC3, which can deliver better quality audio compared to the SBC codec even at 50% lower bitrate than Bluetooth SIG. The low-power LC3 audio codec will allow AirPods Pro 2 to have longer battery life.
AirPods Pro 2 will be able to provide different Bluetooth connections for the two headphones thanks to LE Audio. Users will be able to simultaneously connect to a device with two different AirPods.
One of the most important discussions about the AirPods Pro 2 model is the charging port. Well-known Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo announced that the company will include a Lightning charging port in the AirPods Pro 2 model. Mark German, on the other hand, said that the USB Type-C input has been switched.
The new model is said to come with improved sound acoustics, an advanced H1 chip, remote audio playback and a Find My feature that could work similar to AirTag. Also among the leaked information is that progress has been made in terms of charging and battery life.
