Valve is contacting users in some regions asking them to cancel and renew their pre-orders for Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered. The company made such a decision after the game was accidentally offered for sale at a very high price for the price set in the pre-orders.
Valve is back after a pricing error
With the announcement, users in the UK, Australia, New Zealand, Switzerland, Israel, Norway, and Poland will have to cancel their game orders and purchase the game again. It has been stated that the pricing issue has now been resolved in countries where pre-orders have previously opened for the Spider-Man game.
Thus, users who previously ordered the game at a high price will be able to have the iconic game at a much more affordable price. Don’t think that this price difference is a small price to pay. People who reordered the game were greeted with a lower price of about $12 ($215 at today’s exchange rate).
With the exception of the aforementioned countries, it is stated that this price confusion does not occur. Therefore, those outside of this region do not need to purchase the game again. No statement has been made by Valve regarding the cause of the pricing issue. However, the fact that the issue has been resolved seems to please gamers living in this region.
