After the Snapdragon 8 and 7 series, Qualcomm has started work on the Snapdragon 6 family. Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 specifications have been leaked.
Last year, Qualcomm, which changed the name of its new processors, introduced the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 model, manufactured using 4nm technology. It turned out that the company will also update the processors of the Snapdragon 600 series.
Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 specs revealed
The Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 will be powered by a 64-bit Kyro core clocked at 2.2 GHz. There is no detailed information about the CPU cores yet.
The product code of the processor, which is said to come with 4nm technology, will be SM6450. The processor will have USB version 3.1 and LPDDR5 RAM support.
Qualcomm will use the Snapdragon X62 5G modem in the processor. Among the leaked information is that the processor has sub-6GHz and 5G mmWave technologies that offer high speed. On the WiFi side, it will be the Qualcomm FastConnect 6700 WiFi 6E.
The new processor will support FullHD+ and 120Hz screen refresh rate. Smartphone manufacturers will be able to use a 13-megapixel triple camera, a 25 + 16-megapixel dual camera and a 48-megapixel single camera. The processor is said to have the power to shoot 30FPS 4K HDR video.
Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 will support Quick Charge 4+ technology. Quick Charge 4+ technology allows smartphones to reach 50 percent charge in an average of 15 to 25 minutes.
