Samsung, which is among the world’s largest panel makers, has recently focused on TVs and monitors for players. After the CES22 fair held in January, it presented its new models one after another. Today, the specifications of the Odyssey G8QNB monitor appeared, which can be considered affordable compared to the rest of the series.
Samsung Odyssey G8QNB features and price!
Samsung has started offering the player monitors it introduced at CES one by one. And finally, Odyssey Ark, a 55-inch giant monitor with 4K resolution, 165 Hz refresh rate and 1 ms response time, offered for sale for $ 3 thousand 499.
Today, the specifications and price of the Samsung Odyssey G8QNB, which is expected to be available for sale in the next period, have been released. What makes the 34-inch size and 3440×1440 resolution G8QNB so special is that it uses the world’s first QD-OLED panel.
The 1800R degree of curvature monitor supports a response time of 0.1 ms and a screen refresh rate of 175 Hz. The aspect ratio is 21:9. Although not yet released, it managed to get an award at the CES fair thanks to its thickness of only 5.9 mm.
In the past, it was said that Samsung will launch this monitor in the third quarter of 2022. However, there is still no statement from the brand. For this reason, it is indicated that it may be postponed to the last quarter of the year. CES23 will be held next January. Therefore, unless the company plans to introduce the same product here a second time, it will not extend until 2023.
The Odyssey G8QNB will cost $1299 in the US, $1659 in Canada and $1099 in the UK. Of course, let’s note that for now these amounts are only a leak. But if we assume that it is true, we can say that it will be sold in Turkey at the level of 20 thousand TL. Although it is quite expensive for a gaming monitor, it should be noted that it will be considered affordable in its series, since it is 1/3 of the Ark model.
