Apple, one of the biggest players in the smartphone world with its iPhone series, is nearing the final stages for its next flagship phone, the iPhone 14 model. The model, which is due to be unveiled in September, continues to be on the agenda with leaked information. The last piece of information was about the model’s camera lenses.
iPhone 14 wide-angle 7P camera lens supplied by Sunny Optical
The iPhone 14 series has been plagued with issues for a long time. As is known, a significant part of the company’s production line is located in China. From time to time, China has stopped short of its “zero tolerance for coronavirus” policy, especially during the winter months. This situation has put many important companies in difficulty, especially Apple.
The shutdown process caused disruptions to Apple’s work schedule. So much so that even postponing the iPhone 14 series was on the agenda for a while. However, the company denied this. On the other hand, it was stated that the closure process carried out in recent days will create a lens supply chain. The company is holding the end of the rope tight in this regard.
Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, known for leaking information, said that Apple is increasingly concentrating its orders for wide-angle 7P cameras to a single supplier. Accordingly, the company will supply these lenses from Sunny Optical. On the other hand, Sunny Optical is expected to be the main supplier of ToF lenses that will be produced for the iPhone 15 in 2023.
The RAM details of the iPhone 14 series have also been revealed. iPhone 13 with 4GB RAM LPDDR4X uses the standard. According to the information received, the company will again use this standard with 6 GB of RAM on the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus in the new family of the series. However, the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max will be upgraded to LPDDR5.
